Scholarships are currently CLOSED. We know that sometime you can't afford the help you need to battle your disorder. That's why we offer the Mary Rose Foundation Scholarship.

**Due to the ongoing pandemic and inability to hold typical fundraisers, we are not currently accepting applications for scholarships**

We know that eating disorder treatment is expensive. Foundation founder Julie Allen's parents had to take out a second mortgage just to afford her treatment when she was young. We want to help you pay for the cost of your treatment. Our hope is that by providing scholarships, we are able to ease the financial burden and allow you to focus on the treatment, not worry about the cost. Our average scholarship is $5000 and we award the scholarships in November and May each year.

How do you choose who gets a scholarship?

Our goal is to help every person who applies. We will do everything in our power to award a scholarship to every applicant. We work hard throughout the year raising money. When we reach a scholarship period, we review all of the applications and look specifically for the following:

*Significant need

*Specific financial barriers

*Barriers to quality healthcare experienced by high-risk groups such as the BIPOC and LGBTQ communities.

*Personal motivation to find healing (this can also be a parents’ motivation for seeking healing for their child)

*A clear plan with clinic choice

What do I need to apply?

In order to apply, we need a few extra items in addition to your application:

*Two letters of recommendation, preferably from your doctor, dietician, therapist, or psychiatrist but could also be from a family member, friend, teacher, case manager, or supervisor. The letter should state how the person knows you, your motivation for seeking treatment, and the level of treatment you are seeking.

*One recent tax return which states household income (just send us the first few pages of the return). Please blackout the social security number.
